The Pacific Ocean is to the west of Cardiff, Encinitas on its east and north, and a beach and lagoon on its south. With a population of under 12,000, this small town has a lovely community feel. You will run into most neighbors at the local Seaside Market which is surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops...and of course VG's donuts and bakery!
