EARLY AUTUMN COCKTAILS

We are almost halfway through September and it's time for some fun early autumn drink recipes!


The fall season is special as it marks the end of summer and the transition into the holiday season (flanked of course by my birthday month and wedding anniversary)! Trees are starting to shed their leaves ahead of winter and people's mindsets automatically start looking towards the fun and festive holidays ahead. We found 4 fabulously easy and delicious cocktails that bring a bit of that autumn feeling into our mixology fun and we think you're going to love them! 🧡

Hard Apple Cider Sangria

Ingredients

1 cup thinly sliced unpeeled green and red apples

1 orange thinly sliced crosswise

1 peach thinly sliced

1 handful of raspberries fresh or frozen

1 cup apple juice, chilled

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1/4 cup apple brandy

1 22-ounce bottle hard apple cider, chilled

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice



1 - Thinly slice the apples on the mandoline.

2 - Using a sharp knife, slice the orange and peach as thinly as possible.

3 - In a pitcher, combine the apples with the orange, peach, raspberries, apple juice, orange juice, and brandy. Refrigerate for couple hours (minimum 3).

4 - Just before serving, add the hard cider.

5 - Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint.


Early Autumn Cocktail


Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces apple-pear infused gin

1/2 ounce absinthe

1 ounce apple cider

1/2 ounce pear brandy

1/2 ounce lemon juice (fresh)

2 dashes chocolate bitters

2 ounces ginger beer (or more to fill the glass)

Cinnamon stick

Lemon peel



1 - Gather the ingredients. 2 - In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, pour the gin, absinthe, apple cider, pear brandy, lemon juice, and bitters. 3 - Shake well. 4 - Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Fill with ginger beer. 5 - Garnish with a lemon peel and cinnamon stick. 6 - Serve and enjoy!

Apple Pie Moscow Mule

Ingredients

4 ounces apple cider

4 ounces apple pie vodka or caramel vodka in a pinch

1 bottle of ginger beer

Cinnamon sticks

Apple slices


1 - Fill two copper mugs with crushed ice.

2 - In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider and vodka. Shake to combine.

3 - Pour half of the apple cider mixture into each mug.

4 - Top each mug with ginger beer until full.

5 - Garnish with cinnamon sticks and apple slices.

6 - Enjoy!

Cranberry Margaritas


Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cranberry juice

3/4 cup fresh lime juice

3/4 cup tequila

1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau or Triple Sec

Ice cubes


1 - Stir all ingredients together until blended. 2 - Serve over ice in sugar- or salt-rimmed glasses, garnished with fresh cranberries and lime wedges if desired.
