The last 3 years have been overflowing with so much change and movement. Zoom Town booms, work-from-home balancing acts, real estate soaring, then recalibrating, and interest rates going to historic lows then balancing out. We are finally moving into a space where the markets are starting to feel settled and the frenzy that we all experienced has calmed. For the first time since 2020, we are watching our clients respond to major life changes like retirement, widowhood, and empty-nesting not with moving but with ....... fun-sizing! Instead of downsizing a home, they’re opting for an energetic and exuberant design that breathes new life into the aesthetics and function of their nest. The goal is not to glaze over the real sense of loss and disruption that accompanies major transitions, however, better to displace the old with a more interesting and idiosyncratic new (AD).
My “angel number” is 444 which symbolizes stabilization so I found it particularly interesting that Morgan Stanley recently posted that they see an environment in the future with 4% Fed rates, 4% inflation, and 4% unemployment 4-4-4.
