Spring unlocks the flowers to paint the laughing soil." - Bishop Reginald Heber

March 20th is the first day of spring! My Mom’s favorite time of year when the world comes to life with color and Tom’s garden begins to take off; tomatoes anyone? Clocks spring forward this Sunday at 2am and we gain an extra hour of daylight and afternoon fun in the sun.
Spring is peak buying and selling season for San Diego real estate and with the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaging 4.35% during the week of February 28 and the lowest since February 2018, this spring is looking on point. California, which has long been an emblem of all things expensive in real estate, currently has the lowest average mortgage rates in the nation (WSJ).
Buyers are actively looking for good inventory and with rates being their lowest in a year, I am extremely optimistic about a robust spring sales season.
